What is Perry ? Our identity as a village (click aerial or map) poised between lake and park, (click zoomed in) bisected by the creek that links them, and that powered Perry’s first two acts of prosperity (click knitting mill 1.0 and happening historic postcard downtown?) and now, 3.0

Survey data - 800,000 visitors to LSP, outdoor recreation economy, beautiful places are at a premium in today’s economy, tech allowing people to live / work where they choose, proximity to two cities with some of the fastest growing millennial populations in the country.

We’re regional. Anchor gateway for LSP (FLR’s crown jewel), and leading a regional coalition towards collaborative economic development centered on that asset.

We’re ready. We’ve executed 26 grants totaling $7.5m totaling $23m of total investment in the past 10 years. Our new Village Strategic Plan, our new zoning laws, our major investments have all laid the foundation for this partnership with NYS through the DRI.

We’re poised. Double-down on momentum. Perry will get it done. We have the people and we have the passion.

SAM is ready for the DRI. 22 years after my first role in revitalization, this old school is back, with new, local owners committed to finishing this vital mixed use project. They’re here because of this opportunity, now. SAM is ready. And so is Perry.
